Eligibility



  • Industries operating in South India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana).
  • Independent business or manufacturing units/divisions from both manufacturing and service industries with operations for at least two years.
  • Construction and infrastructure projects that have been active for six months or more.
  • CII Southern Region member companies can apply for units/plants located outside South India.
  • Non-member companies with sites/units/offices/infrastructure projects in other regions can apply, but their corporate/registered office must be in South India.
  • To avoid conflicts of interest, organizations represented on the award committee are not eligible to participate.

How to Fill the Application Form

  • To confirm your site/unit's participation, complete and submit the application.
  • For participation of multiple sites/units from the same organization, submit a separate application form for each site/unit.
  • All fields in the application form are mandatory. Fill the application in Small Caps (first letter capital in each word).
  • Provide the complete company name with site or project details, if applicable, for printing purposes. Provide the site location to assign an assessor located nearby.
  • Please go through the scale specification on the portal to know your organisation's scale status.
  • Contact CII to enquire the membership status of your organisation.
  • SSI applicants to provide SSI registration certificate to CII.
  • For sites located in SEZ, kindly select the SEZ status and provide GST exemption certificate to CII.
  • Select the appropriate organization category to access the relevant sector-based checklist.
  • Include multiple contact details in the application form.
  • The award process is outlined in the following pages, detailing each stage. Additionally, a video will be available on your dashboard to assist you through each step of the process, allowing you to access it anytime for a comprehensive understanding of the workflow. CII will remain in contact with participating companies throughout each stage of the process.


Award Process in Stages

Stage-1: Application & Documents Submission
  • Confirm participation by submitting the application on the official website. After applying, an automated mail confirmation with username and password from CII will be shared, which should be carefully kept for future use.
  • Using the provided credentials, applicants can log in to the portal to access their dashboard.
  • On dashboard, review the applicants' briefing, detailing do’s and don’ts.
  • Download templates for the pre-assessment dossier and data sheets from the website, and ensure these are prepared and uploaded in advance to aid assessors in their preparation for the assessment.
  • Pay the application fee to obtain the self-assessment checklist and complete it along with required documents. Access to the self-assessment checklist is granted only after the application fee is paid.
  • Submission of the self-assessment checklist along with applicable documents is mandatory before on-site assessment.
Stage-2: Document Verification & On-Site Assessment
  • Two assessors will verify the self-assessment checklist and uploaded documents as preparation for the on-site assessment.
Stage-3: Assessment Scheduling
  • The assessment will be conducted by two assessors over a span of two days.
  • Assessors' available dates will be posted on the portal, allowing scheduling through the online platform.
  • Contact information for assessors will also be accessible on the site, and vice versa.
  • The assessment date can be mutually agreed upon by both the assessors and the applicant either through the portal or through direct consultation between them. However, it is mandatory to block the dates on the portal for tracking purposes by CII.
  • The company will be responsible for covering the assessors' fees, travel, transportation, and accommodation costs.
  • All assessments will follow the EHS assessment checklist tailored to the specific region, with potential variations based on the size, products, or services of the respective unit.
Stage-4: Review of Assessment Reports
  • The working committee will review the assessment reports and validate/verify them with the assessors for selecting the winners for Maturity Awards.
Stage-5: Winner Selection for Maturity Award
  • Maturity award winners (Gold, Silver, and Bronze) will be evaluated based on various parameters, following the review of their reports.
  • The top 20 scoring applicants will be invited to present their cases to the award committee, which will then shortlist the Platinum Award winner.
  • Following the presentations, the award committee will revisit 5-6 shortlisted companies to finalise the recipient of the Platinum Award.
  • The decision of the award committee is final, and applicants will not have the right to question or appeal this decision at any stage.
Stage-6: Winner Selection for Category Awards
  • Interested applicants may submit presentations for up to 3 different award categories. Payment for this can be made together with the application fee.
  • The Juries will evaluate the best practices, presented virtually and select up to 3 winners per category based on various criteria. However, the number of awards will be determined by the number of participants in each category.
  • The decision of the juries is final, and applicants will not have the right to question or appeal this decision at any stage.
Stage-7: Award Ceremony & Feedback Report
  • Following the completion of all the above stages, preparations will commence for the grand finale awards ceremony.
  • The feedback report will be accessible to applicants after the ceremony through the CII Awards portal.

  • The participation fee is inclusive of 18% GST
  • Proforma Invoice will be made available immediately after the application submission
  • CII will share the tax invoice once the payment is done.
  • Participation fee is not refundable and not adjustable to any other event
  • The fee is exclusive of assessors' travel, accommodation & transportation, which needs to be arranged by the company.
  • if you are not planning to join the Category awards, you can ignore the fee mentioned in the table.

Assessment Process

  • The assessment will be done by two assessors for two days.
  • The assessors' available dates will be made available on the portal and the scheduling can be done through online portal.
  • Contacts of assessors will also be made available on the site and vice versa.
  • Date of the assessment can be fixed mutually convenient by the assessors and the applicant using the portal.
  • ...
  • The assessor fee, travel, transportation and accommodation of assessors shall be borne by the company.
  • All assessments shall be carried out based on the EHS assessment checklist across the region. The checklist might have variations based on the size/products/services of that particular unit.
  • Award committees’ decision is final and the applicants will not have the right to question or appeal against the same at any stage.
